College Football Week 13 Recap

Week 13 wasn’t nearly as exciting as last week. On Friday, Houston handled Tulsa 48-16 and LSU destroyed Arkansas 41-17. Saturday wasn’t anymore exciting with favorites – Alabama, Virginia Tech, Stanford, USC, Boise State, Oregon, Georgia, Michigan and so on – all taking care of business. The BCS claims every game matters but there’s a handful of games next weekend and the conference championship games for the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, and Pac-12 and regardless of the outcomes, the BCS National Championship matchup is pretty much set. Even if LSU loses to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, the Tigers will likely still face Bama in a rematch at the Superdome. If we had a four or even eight team playoff, the games next weekend would actually matter as teams would be fighting for playoff spots. Thanks BCS.
