College Football:
Last week Mark Cuban said he was actively interested in creating and funding a playoff for college football. Andy Staples of SI says anytime a billionaire gets behind a good idea, it’s progress. Wouldn’t that be awesome?

John Branch of the New York Times wrote about Kyle Brotzman’s $8 million missed field goal and the pressures facing “amateur” college athletes.
TCU assistant coach Eddie Williamson suffered a heart attack in the first quarter against San Diego State on November 13th. Once he realized something was wrong he removed himself from the field, was taken to the Emergency Room, received treatment, and survived the incident. Williamson was quoted as saying, “I wasn’t afraid to die, but I didn’t want to.”
If you’re curious about college football’s drug testing for student athletes Fanhouse has you covered. They obtained the recreational drug testing policies from 60 of the 68 BCS conference teams. The information is interesting with each school establishing their own policy for failed tests.

Jeremy Flores won the Billabong Pipeline Masters last week as the French regularfoot defeated Kieren Perrow in the finals and Kelly Slater in the semis.
National Football League:
Patriots back-up guard Dan Connelly provided viewers with one of the most exciting kickoff returns in recent memory. Connelly’s return was the longest kickoff return by a lineman in NFL history. Enjoy:
