Let me start by saying I think the polls are a joke – especially pre-season polls, the coaches poll and the BCS rankings. Teams are given the benefit of the doubt based on what they did two decades ago, coaches SIDs can easily vote in their teams’ best interest among other issues and the majority of the computer polls have “secret” formulas.
