The Lightning forced a Game 7 thanks to three power play goals en route to a 5-4 victory in Game 6 on Wednesday night with the teams head back to Boston for Game 7 on Friday. If you watched Game 7 of the Sharks-Red Wings series you know there’s nothing in sports like a Game 7 in the NHL Playoffs. Do yourself a favor and watch these guys go all out for 60 minutes – and maybe longer if we’re lucky – unlike any other professional athletes for a shot at lifting Lord Stanley’s Cup. A few players to keep your eye on are Martin St. Louis and Vincent Lecavalier for Tampa Bay and David Krejci and Nathan Horton for Boston – all four are among the top 10 in playoff points this year.
- Friday May 27th
Tampa Bay Lightning @ Boston Bruins – Game 7 (series tied 3-3) – (TD Garden – Boston, MA) 8:00 PM ET – 8:00 PM ET – Versus

The two biggest clubs in the World square off in the Champions League Final in London on Saturday afternoon. Both teams won their respective league titles and have seemingly been on a collision course since March. With so many options at his disposal it will be interesting to see what starting-11 Sir Alex Ferguson decides to go with against Barca. On top of that, how will they slow down Barcelona’s constant pressure and the always dangerous Messi? And lastly, will Rooney finally show up on one of the World’s biggest stages after his no-show at the World Cup? Grant Wahl (SI) has five things to watch in the Champions League Final that I didn’t mention. The whole world will be watching on Saturday and you should too.
- Saturday May 28th
Barcelona vs Manchester United - Champions League Final – (Wembley Stadium – London, England) 2:45 PM ET – FOX

Final Four weekend is finally here – Maryland, Denver, Duke, Virginia meet in Baltimore with a national championship on the line. The top four seeds have all been bounced from the tournament with seeds 5, 6, 7 and unseeded Maryland remaining. Despite being the only unseeded remaining, don’t sleep on the Terps who upset top seeded Syracuse last weekend in overtime. Here’s a preview of the Semifinals from our friends over at Lacrosse All Stars. I’ll be rooting for Denver – I would love to see a program west of the Mississippi win the national championship helping to grow the game. This is far and away the best weekend of lacrosse on TV all year – make sure you catch the action:
- Saturday May 28th
#7 Virginia Cavaliers vs #6 Denver Pioneers – Semifinal #1 – (M&T Bank Stadium – Baltimore, MD) 4:00 PM ET – ESPN2
Maryland Terrapins vs #5 Duke Blue Devils - Semifinal #2 – (M&T Bank Stadium – Baltimore, MD) 6:30 PM ET – ESPN2
- Monday May 30th
Maryland-Duke winner vs Virginia-Denver winner – National Championship Game - (M&T Bank Stadium – Baltimore, MD) 3:30 PM ET – ESPN
What are you watching this weekend?
